- Never had instruction
Fast on piste, steep and powdery off. Mid-sized groups keen to explore a bit off the beaten track.
Learnt to ski over a season in Tignes, 2006-7; yearly trips to French Alps since. Never had a lesson so just learned from mates and good-old trial and error... Technique is therefore ugly but effective.
Perfect ski day
Up & at 'em early doors - try and catch a fast red or black whilst the corduroy tracks are still there as a warm up. Depending on conditions, it's either then a case of going as far and wide as possible at a decent lick on the pistes, or adventuring off into the powder. Always up for a challenging run as I love improving in powder, on moguls and on the steep stuff. Don't mind a long lunch if it's been earned, and don't mind a prompt finish if the conditions are fading.
